Registration opened this morning for Walt Disney World annual passholders for the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon, and I’m in!
I briefly debated running Goofy since it’s the 10th Anniversary, be decided that improving my marathon time was more important to me than doing a challenge.. because lets be honest, the Glass Slipper Challenge kicked my booty. Oh, wait, you don’t know that yet.. perhaps I should stop registering for races and actually write race recaps for the ones I’ve already run!
Anyway, I’m really excited about this one. I know it’s forever away, but I’ll be training for it and running it with my husband and a really great group of ladies and we’re going to have SO MUCH FUN in the process! No more long, boring, mundane training runs for this girl!
Speaking of training, I’ve mentioned a few times that I have a friend who also happens to be a running coach. He’s developed a new marathon training plan and needed a few volunteers to test it out.. and I’m one of his guinea pigs! It’s a little different from the way I trained for my last two marathons and I think it is going to work out much better for me! It’s a 25-week plan and I’m starting this week, so I’ll be trained and ready to go a few weeks before the race. Once we get there, we’ll re-evaluate and decide what to do between then and race day. Serioulsy, I’m so excited!
