Sooo.. the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon. That was fun. I’m going be be 100% honest here and say that if it weren’t for the fact that my husband and friends were running this race, there’s a good chance that it would have been my first DNS.

2014 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend
I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I’ve written here. Yikes. I didn’t intentionally take a break – I’ve actually started to write a recap of the Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend at Epcot a few times, but just never really felt up to it. I thought that maybe once the race pictures were posted, it would inspire.. something. The one picture taken of me while running the race didn’t do much to inspire anything though. It actually bummed me out a little. Long story short (I’ll explain more later), Adam and I had a really great weekend. Wine & Dine is probably my most favorite race and I enjoyed it. However, the race itself was a bit ho-hum this year since the weather didn’t really cooperate and I hurt my hip while running, so instead of finishing happy and all smiles, instead I was cold, wet, in pain, and bummed.
Disney Marathon Training Plan
We’re officially 18 weeks away from the Walt Disney World Marathon. Most marathon training plans are 18 weeks long. Basic logic tells me that I should probably start training sometime soon.
2014 Disney Princess Half Marathon
If you read my Enchanted 10K recap, you know that I went into the Disney Princess Half Marathon not feeling my best. I’d been battling a nasty sinus infection and was super stressed with work. Despite all of that, I was really excited to run the half.
2015 Walt Disney World Marathon aka Marathon #3!
Registration opened this morning for Walt Disney World annual passholders for the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon, and I’m in!
2014 Disney Enchanted 10K
Hey look, I’m finally writing my recap for the Disney Enchanted 10K.. only like 2 months late!
2014 Walt Disney World Marathon
Like I mentioned in my post about the day before the race, I’d really been looking forward to the Walt Disney World Marathon since the Space Coast Marathon. I’d really been beating myself up about how I performed there and knew that I could do a lot better. I think there were a lot of things that contributed to me not really being very motivated to push myself that day — I was bored, the hills were annoying, and I really just didn’t feel up to it. That wasn’t the case the morning of the Walt Disney World Marathon. I really wanted to do better, I wanted to do what I knew I was capable of and what I had trained for.
Almost Time for Marathon #2
I’ve been looking forward to this race since approximately 5.78 seconds after I crossed the finish line at the Space Coast Marathon. When I finished feeling great, with a huge smile on my face, I knew I could have done better. Much, much better. I finished though, and for your first marathon, that’s all that really matters. I learned a lot, but most of all learned to respect the distance. In case you didn’t know, 26.2 miles is a really long way to run.
2013 Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon
We’ve been looking forward to the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon since we signed up for it at the Princess Half Expo in February. It was our first time leaving both kids for more than an overnight with our parents, I’ve never been to the Food & Wine festival, and running another Disney race? Definitely a recipe for a wonderful weekend with my husband, right? Right. Or not.
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Meet-Up
I apologize in advance, because this post is pretty picture heavy. I tried to cut some out, but the folks at runDisney took SO many amazing pictures, so it was HARD!
