Back At It

Hey strangers!  It’s been a while.

Things have been crazy around here.  Actually, crazy is probably an understatement.  We’re in the middle of a big DIY project and I can’t wait to share.  I’ve been working like a maniac and the blog has taken a back seat to getting stuff done and soaking up the summer with my babies.  Priorities, right?

We’ve been busy and I’ve

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! We woke up bright and early to see what the Easter Bunny left for Braden and Mackenzie.  I love holidays now, it’s SO much more fun with kids in the house.  I love the pure joy on Braden’s face when he sees little surprises for him.  Even simple little things, like a cupcake just make him giddy.  It’s so sweet. Braden has been on a bit of a Spider Man kick lately, thankfully the bunny took note! I don’t think Mackenzie was sure what to think of it all, especially the goofy ears we kept sticking on her head, but she was definitely a fan of the eggs filled with jelly beans.  No worries, she didn’t actually eat the jelly beans, she just had a blast shaking them and making a lot of noise! The golf club in our neighborhood hosted a Bunny Brunch, so we headed there after we all got up and ready for the day.  I don’t think they got the memo that the Bunny Brunch would attract a lot of kids.. the menu was not exactly kid friendly, but oh well.  Live and learn. We spent the rest of the day relaxing at my parents house mostly.  B convinced Adam to get in the pool with him again.  Daddy is a sucker It’s still too cold for me! While B and Adam were swimming, the Easter Bunny was busy hiding eggs out in the front yard!  B absolutely LOVES hunting for eggs.  He had a blast running around. After dinner, we headed back to the house and went for a quick little bike ride around the neighborhood.  Adam and I bought Braden a new bike last week and since he had such a great weekend, we decided to pull it out as a reward.  He was SO excited and we were amazed at how well he did on it. Darlin’ enjoyed the walk too..

Hurray! It’s Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas!! Braden was so funny, we were upstairs waiting for my parents to get here and I was telling him that Santa came and the presents were downstairs, but he had no interest in presents. He was concerned about breakfast. He kept telling me that we needed to go eat waffles and pancakes first, then we could open presents. Needless to say, that went right out the door when he got downstairs

Our Trip to Tampa

We were in Tampa this weekend for Colleen & Jonathan’s wedding. Since we had most of the day to keep ourselves entertained, we headed to The Florida Aquarium. We were a little let down, it was much smaller than we expected, but Braden had a wonderful time and really, that’s all that matters!

We signed Braden up for the Penguin Encounter – he got to meet penguins and

Happy Thanksgiving!

We headed down to Orlando this year to celebrate Thanksgiving with Adam’s family (plus some others). His cousin Colleen is getting married next month and she and her fiance have family in town from all over the world, so we had a big family lunch.

Braden quickly got tired of sitting around in a room full of people he really didn’t know (well, half of them anyway) so we headed

Baby Noni’s Shower

I seriously have the most wonderful friends. I really am a lucky girl.

Another group of my girlfriends got together and threw a baby brunch at The Brick in Avondale. I came home loaded down with so many adorable things for our little one! It was really nice to be able to sit, relax and just talk to them too. We’re all so busy these days that it is hard for us to find time to just be together

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood puts on a really great Easter egg hunt every year for the neighborhood kids. B had such a wonderful time last year that we decided we couldn’t miss it this year. He decided to skip the visit with the Easter Bunny (and he’s at that age where I’m not okay with forcing him to do something he’s scared of just for the sake of a picture), but had a BLAST hunting

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve!

We are in Orlando celebrating with Adam’s family today – such a nice and relaxing day! The kiddos decorated Adam’s homemade gingerbread cookies.

We opened gifts and finally let the cat out of the bag that we’re expecting.. everyone was surprised!

Then we had a delicious dinner and headed back home in time to leave out cookies and milk for Santa Claus!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!

Because we’re total slackers, we waited until the very last minute to dye eggs! Once we all got up and ready this morning, we set Braden up at the kitchen table and got to work. I wasn’t too sure if he would get it, I figured it would probably just end up being a huge mess and Adam or I would end up actually doing the work. I was wrong, Braden loved it! He was amazed
