As a mom, sippy cups have become the bane of my existence. No kidding. I cannot even begin to tell you how big of a pain they are to clean (and that goes for bottles too, though we’re well past that stage). When the folks at Boon reached out to me to ask if I’d like to try their new SUDS Bottle Washer (which should really be called the SUDS Everything Washer!), my answer was “heck yeah!”.
Seriously, where was this thing when my kiddos were little? I cannot tell you how many HOURS I spent standing in front of the sink scrubbing bottles and getting so frustrated. Your hand doesn’t fit inside the top, so you have to use the bottle brush, which doesn’t get the corners well, so you have to manipulate the bottle all around, while you’re so sleep-deprived and all you want to do is lie down. Remember those days?! No more! With the Boon SUDS Bottle Washer, you can wash a sink full of bottles (among other things.. keep reading!) in just a few minutes.
See for yourself!
I tried to do a video, but my tripod seems to have run off and it’s hard to wash dishes while holding the camera!
As you can see, it’s super easy to use. So much so that I don’t mind doing it and I despise doing dishes. It’s great for the kids as well. They love to “help out”, which usually means “make an even bigger mess”. With the Boon SUDS Bottle Washer, you only need a tiny bit of soap and warm water to clean an entire days worth of bottles, sippy cups, and more.. less water = less mess for mommy to clean up when they are done “helping”. 😉
I know Braden and Mackenzie aren’t alone in this – they get a cup, take a few sips, then wander off and when they’re thirsty again, they go get a new cup. At the end of the day I have a pile of sippy cups to wash. I don’t like the idea of running the dishwasher just for their cups, plus someone (*cough* Adam *cough*) tends to put them on the bottom rack, which warps and ruins them. With this, you fill the bowl with warm water and a squirt of dish soap, pop the cup on, pump it a few times, rinse, and you’re done.
Stuff To Know (from Boon)
- Easily wash bottles with simple one-handed pump operation
- Sits in sink basin
- Faster than standard washing
- Water jet and spinning scrubbing action ensures thorough cleaning
- Works with most bottles and sippy cups
- Top-rack dishwasher safe
- BPA, PVC, and Phthalate-Free
Now, I know you may not be a mom or maybe your kids are well past the bottle and sippy cup age, so you’re thinking this isn’t for you. You’re wrong! I’ve used it on so many other things as well. My two favorites are my wine glasses and the mason jars I use for overnight oats. Both have small openings, so I can’t get my hand in to clean them well.. and you know how big of a pain it is to clean oatmeal out of a dish!
The only drawback I’ve found is that I still have to grab another sponge to wash the outside of the bottle, but it’s not enough to stop me from pulling the bottle washer out.
Boon is one of those companies that seems to keep coming up with things I never knew I needed. Honestly, I’d kind of forgotten about them since it’s rare that I wander down the baby aisles anymore, but I need to make it a point to do so more often, because Boon is killing it lately. I found like ten things that we need, like now, just by browsing their site.
So where can you get one of these awesome contraptions for yourself? Your local Target and Target.com for only $19.99. I know, I was shocked at how budget-friendly it is too! And even better, the Boon SUDS Bottle Washer is BPA, PVC, and Phthalate-Free plus it’s top rack dishwasher safe! It’s definitely being added to my list of must-haves for new mamas!
