2015 Gate River Run 15K
The 2015 Gate River Run 15K.. aka the really fun race in Jacksonville that was really freaking hot this year! Not that it really mattered to me, since I didn’t have a time goal this year. In fact, I went into this race determined to have fun and not stress over time so I made it my goal to PR in drink stops. Spoiler Alert – I totally hit my goal!
Giveaway: Spring Break with Cabana Grill
A few weekends ago, Adam and I were in Mandarin dropping his iPhone off to be fixed and noticed the new Cabana Grill on San Jose. We’re both big fans of Mexican food so we were excited to check it out, but unfortunately we’d just finished lunch and we were stuffed. I hate when that happens! One of my favorite things to do is try out new restaurants!
Giveaway: March To Get Screened 5K
I was so bummed last year that I didn’t get to participate in the March to Get Screened 5K, but Braden had his first t-ball game and there was no way I was missing it! The race directors were kind enough to reach out and offer me a few free entries to give away again this year, so if you’re interested in running it, you can enter below!
2015 8K River Day
This past Saturday, Mackenzie and I ran the 2015 8K River Day race at Grace Episcopal Day School. I was unable to run it last year but heard lots of good things about the event, so I was excited to add it to my calendar this year. It’s super close to my house (I left the house 45 minutes before gun time!) and I love running down River Road in Orange Park, it’s beautiful.
2015 Sweetheart 5K
This past weekend, Adam and I (along with some friends) ran the Sweetheart 5K at the St. John’s Town Center. The race started and ended at Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails and while it was small, it was probably one of the most fun local races that I’ve run.
2015 ZOOMA Florida 12K
You know how last year, I ran a marathon, then six weeks later I ran another marathon, then six DAYS later I ran a half marathon? And I said I’d never do that again? I lied. Okay, I didn’t really lie. I didn’t do the whole back to back marathon thing, and I didn’t run a half either, but I did run a race just six days after running a marathon. And you know what? I loved it!
2015 Walt Disney World Marathon
Sooo.. the 2015 Walt Disney World Marathon. That was fun. I’m going be be 100% honest here and say that if it weren’t for the fact that my husband and friends were running this race, there’s a good chance that it would have been my first DNS.
2014 Space Coast Half Marathon
Ahh the Space Coast Half Marathon. AKA my slowest race ever. First, before we even talk about the race, look at these splits: 5K – 35:33, 10K – 1:16:07, 15K – 1:57:02, Half – 2:48:12, Average Pace – 12:51 — Yes, that average pace was even slower than my first marathon here last year. And you know what? I’m 100% okay with that!
