I was so bummed last year that I didn’t get to participate in the  March to Get Screened 5K, but Braden had his first t-ball game and there was no way I was missing it!  The race directors were kind enough to reach out and offer me a few free entries to give away again this year, so if you’re interested in running it, you can enter below!

Borland-Groover’s March To Get Screened 5K raises funds for research and education for Colon Cancer, the second leading cancer death. Every dollar raised by our participants will go to the BGC Foundation and further education, research, prevention and a cure for Colon Cancer.

The goal of March to Get Screened is to promote colon cancer screening. A colonoscopy can prevent colon cancer from even starting.  Colon Cancer Screening is easier than you think and one of the best ways to prevent colon cancer.

This year, the March to get Screened 5K is being held at the Jacksonville Beach Pier on March 29, 2015.

It doesn’t get much better than that!  Entry into the race is $25 for runners (timed) and $15 for walkers (non-timed).  Anyone age 12 and under runs for free!

There will be a wonderful after party including food and drinks from Lynch’s Irish Pub and live music provided by Darren Corlew.
