September Phone Dump!

Happy Father’s Day!

No, I’m not crazy.  No, I haven’t lost my mind.  Yes, I’m aware that it is September.  (Side Note – How is it already September?!  And the END of September?!)

If you can remember way back to June, when we celebrated Father’s Day, you may remember that my friend Jenn and I bought the boys tickets to the Jaguars vs. Bengals game.  We figured it would be fun for them to take the little (well, not so little, but you know what I mean) guys to the game.  And we’d tag along.. you know, to drive and ensure that the little ones stay happy.  At least that is what we told them.

We met downtown and followed one another to the fairgrounds for little pre-game tailgating.  Aiden and Braden fit right in, it’s like they were born to do this.  Their first order of business was to eat.  Such guys.

Then it was time to toss the football around a bit. I should mention that Braden’s hair is courtesy of Uncle D. It’s at a weird in-between stage where I can’t really figure out what to do with it. It’s too long to spike, too short to lay down nicely. I’m not sure what this particular ‘do is called, but Braden liked it so we went with it.

And of course, you know that Jenn and I had our cameras. Our boys are trained well. They know they can’t get out of it, all of our outings are going to be well photographed and documented. It’s nice that they don’t put up a fuss.

Shortly before the game started, we took the boys over to Teal Town to run around and burn off some more energy. They had SO much fun! Look at those faces!

Braden really enjoyed the first 10 minutes or so of the game. He loved seeing Jaxon de Ville do his big entrance on the zip line and thought the flyover was very cool. Once the game got going, he was the cutest little fan! He cheered along with everyone and kept yelling “GO JAGUARS!!”

Unfortunately, our seats were directly in the incredibly hot sun. Actually, hot is an understatement. It was miserable. B really tried to stick it out, but even with his visor and sunscreen, he was just not having fun. The noise was starting to get to him too, poor little buddy.

I took B for a walk to get him out of the sun and we ended up hanging out in the shade with a frozen lemonade for a while, so long that Adam wandered out to find us.

We tried going back to our seats for a bit after Braden cooled down, but it was a no-go. He wasn’t happy and I didn’t want him to melt down so we decided to call it a day and head out. I’m glad we did because I was a hot mess too.

I’m thinking that maybe later in the season when it cools off a bit, we might try to take B to another game. We have tickets for the Jets game in December with the UNF Alumni Association, but I think I can convince Adam to go to just one more game. Maybe. We’ll definitely pay more attention to where our seats are in the future, I’d rather stay home and watch on tv than sit in the sun like that again! Blah!

Culture Parade

September is culture month at the kids school. They learn about a variety of different cultures and wrap up the month with a parade where each class dresses up to represent a different country and culture. Mackenzie is in the toddler room and they were proudly representing Japan.

And Braden’s VPK class was representing Mexico! The boys were supposed to be wearing sombrero’s, but apparently they decided it was too hot.

Grandma and Grandpa were there to watch and the kids were both excited to see them.. Grandma and Grandpa’s aren’t supposed to be at school!

Messy Girl!

I have no words.

Clearly, Mackenzie enjoyed her dinner tonight.
