Happy Easter!

Yesterday I barely sat down long enough to catch my breath but today was all about relaxing.  I tried as hard as I could to get us out of the house to “do something”, but they weren’t having it.  Everyone except me wanted to have a relaxing “stay home day” (and apparently my parents house is an extension of home, since we did go there).  The kids were both worn out

Getting Ready for Easter

I work from home four days a week, so by the time the weekend rolls around, the last thing that I want to do is sit around the house.  Adam and the kids, on the other hand, are out of the house most of the day during the week, so they really enjoy being home on the weekend.  I think today was pretty much the best compromise we could have hoped for.  We were crazy busy, but had so much fun.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!! We woke up bright and early to see what the Easter Bunny left for Braden and Mackenzie.  I love holidays now, it’s SO much more fun with kids in the house.  I love the pure joy on Braden’s face when he sees little surprises for him.  Even simple little things, like a cupcake just make him giddy.  It’s so sweet. Braden has been on a bit of a Spider Man kick lately, thankfully the bunny took note! I don’t think Mackenzie was sure what to think of it all, especially the goofy ears we kept sticking on her head, but she was definitely a fan of the eggs filled with jelly beans.  No worries, she didn’t actually eat the jelly beans, she just had a blast shaking them and making a lot of noise! The golf club in our neighborhood hosted a Bunny Brunch, so we headed there after we all got up and ready for the day.  I don’t think they got the memo that the Bunny Brunch would attract a lot of kids.. the menu was not exactly kid friendly, but oh well.  Live and learn. We spent the rest of the day relaxing at my parents house mostly.  B convinced Adam to get in the pool with him again.  Daddy is a sucker It’s still too cold for me! While B and Adam were swimming, the Easter Bunny was busy hiding eggs out in the front yard!  B absolutely LOVES hunting for eggs.  He had a blast running around. After dinner, we headed back to the house and went for a quick little bike ride around the neighborhood.  Adam and I bought Braden a new bike last week and since he had such a great weekend, we decided to pull it out as a reward.  He was SO excited and we were amazed at how well he did on it. Darlin’ enjoyed the walk too..

It’s almost Easter!

Our day started off a bit rough. Actually, that’s an understatement. It was awful. At dinner last night, Braden managed to somehow poke himself in the eye with a tortilla chip. I have no clue how, but can you say ouch? He and I ended up leaving the restaurant early because he was hurting, but once we got home and I flushed it with water, he seemed okay so I didn’t think much about

Happy Easter!!

We didn’t have big plans today – we mostly hung out around the house and relaxed. It was nice. The Easter Bunny came to visit Mr. B and brought him LOTS of fun and tasty goodies!

We went to my parents house for a late lunch/early dinner and B had a blast splashing around in the pool with Adam and Papa.

The Easter Bunny stopped by again soemtime during the day to hide

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood puts on a really great Easter egg hunt every year for the neighborhood kids. B had such a wonderful time last year that we decided we couldn’t miss it this year. He decided to skip the visit with the Easter Bunny (and he’s at that age where I’m not okay with forcing him to do something he’s scared of just for the sake of a picture), but had a BLAST hunting

Happy Easter!!

Because we’re total slackers, we waited until the very last minute to dye eggs! Once we all got up and ready this morning, we set Braden up at the kitchen table and got to work. I wasn’t too sure if he would get it, I figured it would probably just end up being a huge mess and Adam or I would end up actually doing the work. I was wrong, Braden loved it! He was amazed
