Survey Says

Allison at Life’s a Bowl posted this earlier in the week and I thought it would be a fun way to kick off the holiday weekend!

1. Were you named after anyone?

I was named after my grandmother, her name was Elsie Mae Lynn and my middle name is Lynn.  I love family names, both of our kids middle names are family names.  Braden’s middle name was Adam’s dads first name and Mackenzie’s middle name was my grandma’s fist name.

2.  When was the last time you cried?

Last week when Mackenzie was sick.  I was overwhelmed and tired and worried about my girl.

3.  Do you like your handwriting?

Not particularly.  Unless I really take my time, it’s really messy and borderline chicken scratch-y.

4.  What is your favorite lunch meat?

I’m not really a fan of lunch meat.  I eat it on occasion and when I do it’s usually turkey, sometimes turkey and ham.

5.  Do you have kids?

I have the two most amazing kids in the world.

6.  If you were another person, would you be friends with you?

I’d like to think so.  I try really hard to be a kind and giving person and the kind of person that I would want to be friends with.  I have some pretty amazing friends and I like to think that they wouldn’t keep me around if I wasn’t a good friend to them too.

7.  Do you use sarcasm a lot?

No, not really.

8.  Do you still have your tonsils?

I do.

9.  Would you bungee jump?

Nope, never.  I’m a big chicken.

10.  What is your favorite cereal?

How about my top three?  I can’t narrow it down to just one.  Fruity Pebbles, Frosted Flakes, and Raisin Bran.  I know sugary cereals are so bad for you but it is so good!

11.  Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?

Most of the time I’m wearing flip flops, so no.

12.  Do you think you are strong?

Mentally, most of the time.  Physically, I guess it depends on what you consider strong.  I’m not bench pressing a bus or anything, but I can run a marathon.

13.  What is your favorite ice cream?

Chocolate with a sliced banana and PB2.

14.  What is the first thing you notice about other people?

Their eyes.  I think you can tell a lot about people from the way they look at you (or don’t) when they’re talking to you.

15.  Red or pink?

Pink

16.  What is your least favorite thing about yourself?

My anxiety, I wish it would just go away sometimes.

17.  Any tattoos?

Nope, they are not my thing.

18.  Do you have any hobbies?

My most favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.  I also enjoy reading and running.  I especially like running faster than my brother

19.  What color shoes are you wearing?

None, I’m still in my jammies with bare feet.  It’s a big perk of working from home!

20.  What was the last thing you ate?

A peanut butter and raspberry jelly sandwich with barbecue pop chips.

21.  What are you listening to right now?

I’m halfway watching the last season of Scandal.

22.  If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

Hmm.. a bright, turquoise-y color.  Like the ocean in the Caribbean.

23.  Favorite smells?

Fresh cut grass, a big pot of marinara sauce simmering on the stove with lots of garlic and onions, clean laundry right out of the dryer.

24.  Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?

I think it was Adam.

25.  Mountain hideaway or beach house?

It depends.  When it’s hot out, I’d rather be at the beach and when it’s cool, the mountains.

26.  Favorite sport to watch?

Football.  Despite what this picture shows, I’m a Florida State fan.  My cousin played for Wake Forest when he was in college so even though it was hard, we did cheer for Wake at Florida State.  Family before football, or some nonsense like that

27.  Hair color?

Brown

28.  Eye color?

Brown

29.  Do you wear contacts?

Nope.  I had colored contacts in college but they were seriously creepy.  Every time I’d sneeze, they’d shift on my eye and I looked crazy.  I only wore them for a month or so.

30.  Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings.

31.  Last movie you watched?

The Pirate Fairy – I watched it with Mackenzie when she was home sick earlier this week.

32.  What color shirt are you wearing?

I had to take a break to get some work done and run an errand so I got dressed – no more jammies!  It’s a white racerback tank with lime green, blue, and yellow stripes.

33.  Summer or winter?

Summer – I’m a total Florida girl and freeze if it’s in the 60s or below.

34.  Hugs or kisses?

Both!  Well, depending on who they’re coming from

35.  Computer or television?

Computer — I can watch tv on there

36.  What book are you reading right now?

Me?  Nothing.. but Braden and I are in the middle of reading a Justice League book together.

37.  What’s on your mouse pad?

Starry Night by Van Gogh – my favorite painting.  I’ve had it since college and it’s old and raggedy, but I love it.

38.  What color is your house?

Tan with white trim.  I’ve wanted to paint it since we moved in.. one day!

39.  What color is your car?
