Jacksonville MOSH

Mr. B and I headed to the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History (MOSH) today with our good friends Jenn, Keith & Aiden plus Sheila and her little girl Chase.

B wasn’t really all that interested in the indoor exhibits, and he freaked out when he saw the dinosaur exhibit, but he LOVED watching the turtles and fish swim in the little ponds outside.

They also have a little play area set up for toddlers, we stayed there forever! Seriously, our friends were long gone before Braden even slowed down for a bit. He was all over the place and burned off so much energy that he crashed in the car on the way home and slept for over 2 hours!

Using Utensils!

Braden loves to help with whatever you’re doing – especially cooking. He loves for you to hold him and let him stir stuff, and its so cute. Lately he has been “helping” me make his eggs for breakfast. (Ew, I know, but Dr. White says the kids needs them.. so he gets them.) He loves to help stir and sprinkle the cheese on. This morning he decided he needed to do a little taste test to make sure it was just right. Then he wouldn’t give me the spoon back.. he tried to use it to eat with, which was adorable :)

I don’t know if I posted about this – but he’s eating with a fork now too! It’s SO cute!

Asian Buffalo Chicken

4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 cup hot wing sauce
4 tsp garlic powder

Mix together the teriyaki and wing sauce. Place chicken breasts on aluminum foil in oven safe dish and spinkle the garlic powder over the chicken breast. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

This was really tasty and a bit spicy (probably not kid-friendly). Next time I think we’ll cook these on the grill instead of baking them.

MILK!

Mr. B loves lounging on the couch with his beloved cup of milk after a long day at school. I have seriously never seen a child that loves milk as much as he does, he would drink it all day long if we let him. As soon as his cup is empty, he starts doing the sign for milk and saying “mak mak mak” and if he’s feeling really feisty or thinks you’re taking too long, he’ll go smack the ‘fridge while saying it and stare at you until you get it for him. I don’t know where he got his stubborness from.. not a clue.. :)
