Surprise!

We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my mom today – she was totally shocked. My dad and I had been planning it with her sisters for a while. A Nut Kathy managed to get all of my moms sisters and her dad down to their house for the day, then got my mom out of the house so we could decorate and get everyone situated..

Braden passed the time waiting for Grandma by having a little snack..

Surprise!

Still in shock? :)

Braden might have stolen a bit of the show.. he got to spend lots of time with my family and even met some new faces..

Blowouts

Braden is SUCH a happy little guy in the morning. I am absolutely not a morning person, but its so much easier getting out of bed early when you know you have this adorable smile waiting for you!

We headed down to the outlet mall in St. Augustine with my mom, Aunt Teresa, A Nut Kathy, Mattie and Jordan. We all had lunch (Braden included) at the food court, then my mom was off to change Braden. A few minutes later she poked her head out of the bathroom and asked me to come.. Braden had peed ALL OVER himself! Haha!! Usually that’s not a big deal, but I had taken his spare outfit out of the diaper bag and put it on him that morning since he had never worn it and he is super close to outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes.. so the poor kiddo had nothing to wear! We wrapped him up in a blanket and went in search of an outfit for him.

We finished up shopping, then headed home to pick up the boys (my dad, Justin and Adam) for dinner at Five Guys.. YUM! Apparantely I didn’t learn my lesson about putting a spare outfit in his diaper bag – and he had a blowout. He had poop all over himself and his carseat – it took my mom and I about 10 minutes to get it all cleaned up.. YUCK! I didn’t think to get pictures of it though.. darn! He did get to wear one of his new [slighty too big] onesies that he got earlier at the Outlet Mall.

The pooping problem didn’t seem to bother him – he spent the rest of the time hanging out with Grandpa.

They grow so fast…

Not Yo’ Mama’s Banana Pudding

1 12 oz container cool whip, thawed
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
2 cups milk
1 5 oz box instant French vanilla pudding
6-8 bananas, sliced
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies

Line the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
